Halloween has its roots in a traditional Celtic celebration called Samhain, which marked the end of summer. Its popularity in America and on TV and in movies has meant it has become one of the most popular holidays all around the world.

The customary colors of Halloween are orange and black. Orange represents the autumn colors and the harvest vegetables, such as pumpkin and squash, and black symbolizes the dark side of Halloween.

Recently purple and green have been added to the festive color range.
